New radical progressive groups have emerged in CyFair ISD, aiming to promote their beliefs within the district.
Although the established Indivisible Movement branch, Indivisible Cypress, and Cypress Families for Public Schools have been exerting influence in CyFair ISD for some time, new progressive groups have emerged. If you have not read the other two blogs about those movements, start here.
The latest groups that have been established consist of individuals who are linked to either Indivisible Cypress, Cypress Families for Public Schools (CFPS), or both. These groups are firmly in favor of CyFair ISD school board member Julie Hinaman, while showing strong disapproval towards the six conservative school board members. The six conservative CyFair ISD board members are Scott Henry, Natalie Blasingame, Justin Ray, Lucas Scanlon, Todd LeCompte and Christine Kalmbach. The very progressive left leaning Indivisible Movement adheres to the principles outlined in the Indivisible Guide, with the objective of defeating MAGA. Part of their strategy is to form many groups, they name Facebook, to get out the message.
